Where to Live? - Bath Spa University is split into two campuses; Newton Park and Sion Hill. Newton Park lies to the West of Bath just outside the city centre, and Sion Hill is just off the city centre. When looking for accommodation it is always worth bearing in mind how you’re going to get in and out of University as well as the centre of town. You will find Bath Spa Students living in all areas of Bath depending on what suits them, some live directly in the city centre, some live outside of Bath where its more rural. By far the two most popular student areas are Newbridge and Oldfield Park and anywhere surrounding these two districts. They are generally a short distance from the campuses and the pubs, clubs and local amenities in the city centre. There is more detail about all the local areas on the SCP (Student Community Partnership) which can be found at www.townandgown.org.uk/livinginbath/Pages/default.aspx |

About Bath - Bath has recently been named the second safest city in England and with over 30,000 students makes it a very student-friendly place to be. In the city centre you will find a whole host of things to get involved with, the Odeon and Little Theatre Cinemas are easily accessible as well as more pubs than you will ever be able to visit. The shopping has also been dramatically improved within the past 6 months with the new opening of the Southgate shopping centre right next to the Bath Spa train station. You will find all the shops you need (apart from Primark, for them you will need to go to Bristol!!). Bristol is only a short bus / train journey away and instantly offers access to a lot more shops, pubs, clubs, restaurants and gig venues! In particularly the ‘Cribbs Causeway’ retail park which many students visit. To find out more about the local city of Bath visit: http://visitbath.co.uk/ |
